How can we improve SmartAlerts?

You've used all your votes and won't be able to post a new idea, but you can still search and comment on existing ideas.

There are two ways to get more votes:

  • When an admin closes an idea you've voted on, you'll get your votes back from that idea.
  • You can remove your votes from an open idea you support.
  • To see ideas you have already voted on, select the "My feedback" filter and select "My open ideas".

  1. Emailed the number of walk ins and total customers per day.

    Be nice to see the amount of walk ins to see how many customers are being asked for their information.

  2. Alert for large deposits

    Along the same lines as receiving an alert for a large ticket amount it would be nice to receive an alert for large orders with deposits over a certain amount

  3. Drawer open alerts

    I would love to get alerts if the cash drawer is opened for any reason. Two specific ways that cashiers can open the drawer without doing a no sale are by using the drawer key or by starting to do the end of day process and then cancelling it.

  10. Privide users with the ability to select which fields/columns to display in alert.

    With having so many retail stores, it's impossible to remember the STORE Number, which displays in the alert.
    The STORE Number is in the STORE FIELD column. The alert would provide better information if it showed the actual store name, which is currenty displayed in the DESCRIPTION FIELD.
    Allowing users to select which field or columns to display in alerts would provide better information. Thank you.

  11. Store has opened but no one has signed in or drawer not activated are not accurate.

    I don't know what the window is - but at 10:58 today eastern time, the drawer was activated, according to drawer management. At 11:30 I received an alert that the store was open but drawer not activated. Just changed yesterday from store open but no one signed in to drawer activated, thinking it would help on the inaccurate alerts - but did not. Seems like if they activate BEFORE open time - it's not recognized. Their first sale was at 11:37, so nothing happened between opening (at 11 am with activation at 10:58) and the first sale at 11:37.   12. "Large Sale" alert for Orders

    I am only alerted to Orders when they are processed out of the order management que, which converts it to a ticket. However, I would like to be alert when the sales person takes and accepts payment for the order.

    Moreover, my alerts show me who processed the order since I have it set to EmployeeID. I have changed it to SalesRep. Will this show me who took the order or the SalesRep on the customer file? Because it may be different for a repeat customer.

  13. Sales by Customer Type

    It would be nice to have the ability to choose what customer types sales figures are being reported at end of the day. I would like to eliminate some customer types from the report.

    Thank you for your suggestion. The current release of Smart Alerts allows you to select Sales Rep for the following alerts: Remote Sale, Large Disc Applied, Large Price Override, Refund After/Before Close, Sale After/Before Close, and Large Sale.
