This mandatory feature is causing issues with our Customer Rewards Club Communications. We see people signing up for Rewards Club specific emails when they are not members. This is an issue on a couple of different levels:
1) These people may think they have now signed up for a Club membership. They have not because they have not been assigned a Customer Number and do not have a CounterPoint profile.
2) The "Subscribe" form does not allow us to choose what is required information. As of right now your can "sign-up" with just your email address and nothing else. Even if you leave all other form fields blank and hit the subscribe button you get a thank you for signing up message.
3) These people would get emails that should be exclusive to Rewards Members only. When they get in the store with the email and think they are going to get a deal there will be an issue when they do not receive the deal.
Please edit this functionality to allow us more flexibility with our email communications.
